About Me

I am a local Coventry Artist and have studied art in its various forms for many years.
I started studying art at a higher level in 2002 at Coventry University where I successfully passed the foundation course in art and design. It was here that I found my love of using texture in my paintings as a way of adding a whole new dimension.

From here I went on to study art as a therapeutic tool completing a degree in Creative Expressive Therapies. This degree looked at how art is an expression of the soul and, ultimately, pushed my art skills to places I had never imagined. This brings me to the present day. After working with children for a year, and encouraging their development through creative play, I felt it was time to come back to my art. As a Christian I believe this is one of the callings in my life and I am now using my art as a way to allow people to make their house a home. I offer a range of various original paintings that are inspired mainly by nature. I do, however, offer a commission range whereby people can approach me with any art brief for me to fulfil, so they can have the painting they dream of but cannot find in the shops.

I create my paintings through the use of acrylics, polyfiller, glass, thread and textured artist gels depending on what it is in my painting I am trying to capture. All frames are hand made and canvases are stretched by myself owing to the fact I then have the freedom to make any size canvas I need.
